Winter Swim Readiness with Dan
Cold water swim session
The Details
The swim session will start in the dome with some theory, tips and Dan's extended 'soft start transition' including breath work. After this we will head down to the water for a swim session for anything between 20-40 mins depending on the person - In the water we will explore effective acclimatisation, a holistic approach to open water swim stroke (breast stroke and front crawl) technique and cover basic safety skills. On exiting the water Dan will lead you through his “integrated recovery” exercises which are designed to re-warm and re-circulate blood flow effectively. We will then warm up in the sauna, before going up to the dome for an hour of deeply relaxing restorative yoga. There be drinks and snacks to keep you going.
